Apple is preparing for significant improvements in artificial intelligence with the launch of the iPhone 17 next year. According to analysts at JP Morgan and Barclays, the iPhone 16 family, due later this year, will not get most of the AI features.
Artificial intelligence expectations for the iPhone 16 series have fallen
According to company insiders, the iPhone 17 family will feature a much larger RAM capacity and a larger neural processing unit (NPU). These upgrades will make it possible to use productive artificial intelligence on the device.
Some analysts believe that the iPhone 16 series will not make a huge difference compared to the iPhone 15 models currently on sale. This will directly affect the sales of the iPhone 16 series. Although iOS 17 will be a major AI breakthrough, the hardware of the new devices will not be enough for high-level AI.
It is also said that iPhone 17 will benefit from software optimizations that will be available with iOS 17. An advanced chat bot similar to ChatGPT will be included in iOS 18. Apple will also upgrade the microphones in the iPhone series to improve Siri.
On the other hand, the iPhone 16 series will be released in 7 color options: black, white, green, yellow, yellow, pink, blue and purple. Accordingly, we see that the model will also include white and purple color options according to its predecessor.
